Following Dave Harrold announcing last month that he was stepping down as Club Secretary after six fine years, the management committee have voted on the three excellent candidates who were Caz Moir (Grampian), Charles Brooker (Borders) and David Gow (Fife).
As Coordinator for the voting procedure for the Executive post of Arsenal Scotland Club Secretary I can advise you that there were 11 votes received…
The Chairman did not vote
and as Coordinator I also did not vote.
Totals based on first choices.
Charles Brooker – 7 votes
Caz Moir – 4 votes
David Gow – 0 votes (its fair to point out that David did get 8 second place votes)
I therefore submit to you that Charles Brooker has been duly elected as Acting Club Secretary and will be proposed as Permanent Club Secretary to the members, at the next AGM next Autumn 2017.
The changeover and contact details are now being amended on the website and Arsenal will be advised as soon as formal references are submitted.
I would like to thank all three candidates for stepping up and also offer my congratulations to Charles on becoming our third ever Club Secretary in 13 seasons.
The next matter will be to find a new membership officer as we want that role to be separate from the Club Secretary role.
